Researchers

These Foundations of Systems Science: Key Researchers modules provide concise introductions to the work of important contributors to systems science. Each module includes a short biography and principal publications, followed by key definitions and propositions drawn from the researcher’s work, distinguishing between ideas potentially applicable to General Systems Theory and those applying to more specialised classes of systems. Original concepts are accompanied by translations into a common systems idiom and brief explanations, with a student exercise encouraging understanding, comparison and critical evaluation. Clicking a researcher’s link will open their course module, which can be read online or downloaded freely for study and reference.
